THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Fabric & Development Coordinator to play a key role in the end-to-end development process, with ownership across fabric sourcing, supplier relationships and product development timelines.
Working closely with Design, Product and Production teams, you will ensure materials, samples and development milestones are delivered on time, to quality standards and aligned with the overall product vision.
This role will suit someone with strong technical fabric knowledge, established supplier relationships and a proactive mindset who enjoys balancing creativity, organisation and commercial decision-making.
Day-to-Day
- Lead seasonal fabric sourcing and development activities across multiple product categories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fabric mills and suppliers across international markets
- Identify new material opportunities aligned with quality, cost, sustainability and ethical sourcing requirements
- Manage fabric submissions, approvals, lab dips, strike-offs and sample development processes
- Partner with Design teams to ensure materials meet creative direction and product requirements
- Coordinate development timelines, tracking progress and proactively resolving potential delays
- Maintain accurate product information, development records and critical path reporting
- Review supplier information including costs, lead times, minimum order quantities and capabilities
- Support responsible sourcing initiatives, including sustainability requirements and supplier compliance
- Provide insight and recommendations to improve sourcing and development processes
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 6+ years’ experience in fabric sourcing, product development or a similar apparel role
- Strong fabric, textile and wash knowledge
- Established relationships with international mills, particularly across China and Europe
- Experience managing offshore suppliers and apparel development timelines
- Working knowledge of textile sustainability standards, certifications and ethical sourcing practices
- Strong understanding of costing, lead times, supplier capabilities and commercial considerations
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Clear and confident communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
You will be someone who is proactive, solutions-focused and motivated by continuous improvement. A humble approach, strong collaboration skills and a genuine passion for product will be highly valued.

SALARY
Approximately $85,000 - $100,000 base + Super (depending on experience)
